Bye bye, thing a day!

February-28

It's been a nice year for thing a day, I had fun. Difficult to keep up, but successful after all. I hope everyone had a good time.

I'm headed for a handmade fair in a few hours, so I made some more things this morning. One of them is this brooch/pin, with a heart on it. Red and white are the colors of Martisor and they are the colors of my pin.

Should you want to know what's going on with me after thing a day is over, you can check my blog. Till next year!

New fox

February-27

I felt like making another fox today and in the end it turned out to be a very feminine fox. She's wearing a lace dress, her lashes are long and well-defined, her tail is bushy. She's a pretty fox.

Tomorrow is the last day of thing a day. Do you have anything special prepared? I haven't decided yet.

Handmade Saturday

February-26

Here is another pair of earrings I've made and the complementary outfit. And off to another fair I go!

Read all about it.

Ten hairpins

February-25

No more, no less. I made ten different hairpins, for the handmade fair that I'm going to tomorrow. February has become the busiest month!
I picked only one to wear in my hair with the day's outfit, which is all blue and white.

Blue skies

February-24

Someone suggested that I make shorter earrings as well, that are closer to the ear. I bought some metallic accessories yesterday and created my first pair today. This color combo reminds me of clouds. So does their fluffyness :)

Hemline

This is a vintage dress, originally sewed by my grandmother for my mother's engagement party. I really like the lace and I wanted to wear it, but it was way too long for me, especially that I wanted to wear it casually. So I cut off the lower part and sewed all over again, by hand, because the fabric is so demanding. I also did a little something to the sleeves, but you can't see it in the pics. Here's the dress before the makeover, during (+cat) and after.

And this is my blog.

B&W

February-22

I wanted to make a bracelet for today, it turned out black and white, with pretty beads, bronze chain and polka dot bow. I love the contrast between the sweet white beads and the rough chain.
And I love the carousel I used for the pic - I bought it yesterday from a tiny old-school shop. It has a tune and everything :) happy

Gingham treats

February-21

I might have mentioned before that gingham, together with polka dots, is one of my favourite prints. Red and white makes it especially cute! So I'm using this gingham fabric I've got to the max. This morning I made a bow brooch for someone, and because I still wanted to play with the fabric, I also made a ring. You can see them both below, together with my navy-inspired outfit.  And the rest of the story, on my blog

Snowdrops

February-20

Last evening, when I was coming home from the fair, I bought these snowdrops and I took their pic this morning, as my lazy thing a day. And here is what I wore today, for a slow day at the handmade fair.

Spring fair

February_19

I was out all day at a spring handmade/crafting fair, where I had the chance to talk to a lot of fun people, take pics and sell some of my stuff :) I didn't have a chance to make anything, but I'm showing you my pink table with loads of goodies. Also, what I wore for the day. Excuse the dark pictures, will you? ;) winking
